so finally I did it, my very own portfolio... after several years I finally managed to complete this simple task, well at least it might seem that way, I've run into various difficulties during the design / development stages before (and despite the fact that one of the attempts get a DA here I did not manage to finish it...)
first of all I knew that I need to do it fast, all previous attempts have been abandoned due to the fact that I simply got bored with the initial concepts so this time around I had to be quick, minimalistic approach seemed as a reasonable choice. Than I was bored about lightbox/modalbox/fancybox you call it type of designs presentation, I did not find it very usefull even if it's shadowbox that actually can do something about the content inside that box, than I wanted to present something beyond the project itself but it had to be done in the way that it does not drag attention from the important content which the projects themselves are... low resolution users will probably think that it's one of the most boring sites they have ever been to hopefully there are not many of those around.
Not everything is working as I would like it to work but I think it's a solid start, check it out live - www.tru3hyp3cub3.com [link] enjoy!
I think that's an awesome portfolio except that if you're going to use stuff like that as the background you really need to blur it out or something so people know that's not what they should be look at. x3
Interesting and "fun to drive" website. Your Portfolio layout rocks!! Great idea. Sorry, I can't read Polish (is it?) so I missed some of the fun! On the other hand, I would lose the lower menu. Think you don't need it altogether. Low resolution users? You'd be surprised! Think: "worst case scenario". Thrive in it and you'll be seen anywhere!! Anyway; damn good show!! Keep it up! Thanks for sharing you ideas.
Too complicated. And I mean it, all the blurred images behind the content makes all the content so invisible and hard to read. Eyes would definitely get tired in seconds after visiting this site.
Love the idea and technique behind it. However; you had me VERY confused at the top--I thought it was a modal box on top of a website, not a website with a website as a background. Had I been trying to use it I would have been VERY confused. xD Maybe a bit more user testing?
love that about section
